The Artists in Communities Program (City of Prince Albert), Mann Art Gallery, and Prince Albert Arts Board invites you to a presentation by All My Relations Creative Connections, an Indigenous queer community-engaged artistic collective, exploring the intersection of identity, creativity, and community. This session begins with an introduction to key terminology and the significance of affirming language in fostering understanding and inclusion. We will discuss actionable strategies for creating safer spaces that are welcoming to gender-diverse individuals, where they can tap into their creative processes authentically and without barriers.

Through examples of art created by All My Relations Creative Connections and contributors at Studio Q, we will showcase how the arts offer transformative and healing power for queer individuals. Art serves as a vehicle for self-determination, enabling us to bring the unseen to the surface, deconstruct and reconstruct experiences, and reimagine our individual and collective realities.

This presentation underscores how fostering low-barrier, inclusive spaces enriches not only queer and Indigenous artists but the broader community as well, creating opportunities for deeper connection, diverse engagement, and shared growth through the arts.
