Event Details:

International Transgender Day of Remembrance, has been observed annually (from its inception) on November 20 as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. The day was founded to draw attention to the continued violence directed towards transgender people. There are 396 reports of transgender people lost to violence and suicide in 2023.

Join us memorializing those killed by transphobia in Canada and across the world at Calvary United Church. Tea, and hot chocolate provided. Feel free to bring snacks - cookies or crackers. We will have some candles to stand vigil but please bring your own if you can.
