Join us for the reception of Valerie Joy Horner's photography exhibition, Five Minutes from Home on June 8 at 7pm at the J.V. Hicks Gallery (second floor of the Prince Albert Arts Centre). The exhibition is free to attend for all ages. Refreshments will be served!

Five Minutes from Home exhibits the nature and wildlife photography of local artist Valerie Joy Horner. "Nature is so wondrously, mystically entrancing within our city and beyond. The river, the boreal forest, the plains and the skies encircling us provide endless gifts that can often go unnoticed," shares Horner. All of the pieces in the exhibit were taken within a five-minute radius of Prince Albert’s borders.

About the artist

Valerie Joy Horner is a retired school administrator with a love of the outdoors and a lifelong passion for photography. As an accredited member with the Professional Photographers Of Canada, and a published author, Valerie’s images have won many awards and have been featured in newspapers, magazines and on digital platforms including Canadian Geographic.
