Event Details:
The EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts is pleased to announce an upcoming series of free workshops, taught by industry professionals and designed to educate all levels of experience for the stage.
First up actor/director/producer Skye Brandon will conduct an introductory workshop for directing theatre that will offer tools to new and emerging directors to aid in preparing for the production process as a whole, as well as preparing for the rehearsal period, including script analysis and staging.
About Skye Brandon:
Skye is a Treaty 6 actor/director/producer who calls Saskatoon home by way of Prince Albert and Melfort. He has worked with many of our province's theatre companies (Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, Persephone Theatre, Dancing Sky Theatre, Globe Theatre, Station Arts Centre), multiple independent companies (Last Exit Theatre, Bridge Theatre Collective, and Theatre Naught, to name a few), as well as various companies outside of Saskatchewan (Stratford Festival, Drayton Entertainment, Shakespeare in the Ruins, Northern Light Theatre, Prairie Theatre Exchange, and others). Most recently, Skye directed Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey into Night for Theatre Naught and up next will be directing A Few Good Men by Aaron Sorkin for Drayton Entertainment.
This free workshop series is made possible by the Canadian Support for Workers in Live Arts and Music Sectors Fund.
