Join the John V. Hicks Gallery for the opening reception of Ellie Desgranges' Anthrop O Naturel exhibition on Thursday, June 2 from 6 - 8PM. Admission is FREE and all ages are welcome. The exhibition runs from June 1 - 23, 2022.

Anthrop O Naturel features the nature photography of Ellie Desgranges. This exhibition of flora, fauna, and landscape challenges the perception that animals and plants are essentially different from humans.

To remind us of our place as equals in the global ecosystem, I tell the story of our world as a forester and artist perceives it: a community of individuals (flora and fauna) with minds of their own, an emotional capacity, belonging to different cultures (species), and speaking different languages. Ellie Desgranges is a photography artist, agrologist, and forester. Since moving from Montréal to the Prairies at the age of twenty, she has spent the past decade documenting her environment through an ecocentric lens, highlighting its anthropogenic behaviors and characteristics.
