Part 4 of the Intergenerational Metis Artist Mentorship with Leah Dorion and Danielle Castle.
For this installation Leah and Danielle will be installing a Bison Herd on the River Bank Rotary Trail from 1pm to 3pm on July 31st. These Bison will be installed near the new Metis Nation Signage that was recently put up the city of Prince Albert.
The public is allowed to attend to watch as they create.
All public must abide by COVID-19 regulations:
The artist's will tape off and create a work area that the public is not allowed to be in
Public is not allowed to touch art supplies and tools
Public must stay 2 meters away from artists, elders and other Mann Art Gallery staff members.
Public is encouraged to wear a mask
Public must bring their own chairs
Do not attend if you experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
Do not attend if you are experiencing any illness
Do not attend if you have traveled out of the country in the last two weeks
Mann Art Gallery will ensure no more than 30 people are gathered at any one time. You may be asked to leave and attend at another time
Once the installation is completed the public can come and go as they please to enjoy the art. When all 5 installations are completed the community can then enjoy an evening driving around Prince Albert to view and enjoy the temporary artwork.
