Event Details:
Mann Art Gallery has launched "MAG Virtual Programming," a series of video and blog posts scheduled each day of the week while the Gallery is closed due to COVID-19.
Join us on Facebook every Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 pm for our Facebook Live video "Art Appreciation" (posted immediately after to YouTube). Lana Wilson, Acting Director/Curator of the Mann Art Gallery, discusses a new topic with artwork examples each week. Previous week's themes: Week 1 "Themes of Climate Change & Environmental Concern in the 44th Annual Winter Festival Art Show & Sale," Week 2: "Portraits," Week 3: "Considerations in Landscape Painting." Simple language makes this series appropriate for children, teens & adults, no specialized knowledge of art required, and we focus on local and regional SK artists. We hope this will make a useful resource for parents, guardians, and teachers engaging in at-home learning as well as provide education and entertainment for the community. Ask questions live during this video for an extended discussion, and send your topic and theme ideas to us at curator@mannartgallery.ca,.
